Top 5 Wednesday: Books You Didn’t Get to In 2017

I’ve already mentioned Oathbringer and Throne of Glass in the previous T5W, so let’s see what other books I want to get to this year.

1. Caraval – Stephanie Garber

This book has been in my peripheral vision the whole year. I have a soft spot for circuses, so the cover kept catching my eye. The name still confuses me. Is there a hybrid wild cat in it? Anyway, I have read the blurb and it sound interesting.

2. The Tea Girl of Hummingbird Lane – Lisa See

I don’t know much about this book, but the title is so lovely and I what to expand my reading parameters.

3. Carve the Mark – Veronica Roth

Another cover that keeps catching my eye. For a book categorised as Science fiction, it does give off a fantasy vibe.  I haven’t read Roth’s work before, so I’m curious to see how it is.

4. All the crooked saints – Maggie Stiefvater

I loved the Raven Cycle books. They had such a wonderful and cosy atmosphere. That being said, the Raven Kings’ ending was incredibly frustrating. I am looking forward to ‘All the Crooked Saints’ even though I have some reservations. But look how beautiful that cover is.

5. Lost and Gone Forever – Alex Grecian

The fifth in the Scotland Yard’s Murder Squad series. The last book left things on such a dark note. And look at that name. I still need to prepare myself emotionally before picking up this book.
